Wow! I've experienced working in-depth with raffia paper yarns this summer. I found some new resources or websites that sell raffia. Yes, I surfed "Amazon"! But, Baby, I newly discovered " Weavershouse.com, great business, great product. Their raffia is so great to work with, no paper cuts and the colors are deep and consistent. I did that hat with a bamboo (wood) crochet hook. At, present waiting for raffia in navy to finish crocheting a man's pork pie hat in navy and brown.....
Last, I still have a new raffia tote WIP sitting on my work bench peeping at me with the look of "please get yourself over here and finish me". Does it seem like it takes forever for stuff that have to be reordered to arrive? Well, now, that raffia skein has arrived, so that makes 2 WIPs on my work bench to finish.
Forgot, I crocheted my brother a Panama Fedora. My family have nice size nuggets so I ordered a 3D hat block off of "Etsy" to make sure I was making the right size. Here are some pixs:
Stay tuned for more pictures of the finished WIPs!!!! Love Yarn, Love Sharing - Pam of T+P Collections
